In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden group.

The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an special katana together with multiple items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This update also brings the game's newest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
